Cleaning Auditor Services

ATP testing and UV Fluorescent Marking to accurately measure  high touch point cleanliness for COVID-19

Cleaning Performance Auditing

HPC Solutions provides Cleaning Performance Auditing using our proprietary Cleaning Activity Levels (CAL) model.

The CAL model describes 5 different levels of cleaning which allows us to accurately measure performance using testing methods appropriate to each level. For example:

  • CAL 1: Clean High Touch Points, auditors use UV Fluorescent marking or ATP testing to accurately measure cleanliness on High Touch Points.
  • CAL 2: Spot Clean, auditors re-wipe surfaces to check cleaning completion or white gloves to check dusting completion.

We recommend High Touch Point auditing services for the Aged Care sector and for COVID-19 Preventative Cleans and Performance Auditing to support clients who use our Cleaning Specification and Tender Support services.

Conformance Auditing

Conformance auditing involves measuring how well the cleaning service is conforming to the requirements of the Service Agreement. It includes reviewing cleaning supplies and their maintenance in the cleaner’s rooms, plus observations of cleaning being carried out.

Conformance auditing is also essential for participants of Green Star – Performance, WELL Building Standard and NABERS rating systems.

There’s no point having green cleaning policies and specifications in place, if no one checks to ensure they are actually being delivered!

The only way to ensure that the health of occupants and the environment is being protected as the rating schemes intend, is to regularly audit the cleaner’s rooms and observe the cleaners working after hours.

HPC Solutions can either undertake these audits or customise auditing tools for you to carry out.

UV Fluorescent Marking

HPC Solutions usesUV Fluorescent marking to test cleaning performances on High Touch Points identified in your building.
Simply put, if germs are invisible, how can you tell if a surface is really clean simply by looking at it?

While UV gel provides an indication of how well the soil has been cleaned away, its real advantage is determining whether cleaning has been undertaken or not.

It is also cheap and simple to apply, making it ideal for all commercial, education and healthcare facilities.

ATP Hygiene Testing

HPC Solutions also offersATP testingto determine cleaning effectiveness on High Touch Points identified in your building.
ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) is an energy molecule found in all forms of organic matter, such as dust, food, bodily fats and fluids and microorganisms. Organic matter is a carrier of germs.
The level of ATP detected on a surface after cleaning can be measured using bioluminescence which makes it a useful indicator for showing how effectively cleaning is being performed.

However, ATP testing uses highly sensitive and expensive scientific devices. Strict protocols must be established and followed to make sure ATP testing results are meaningful.
