We are very excited to announce that today, after the 13 years as Fresh Green Clean Pty Ltd, we are proudly launching our new company company, High Performance Cleaning Solutions Pty Ltd, trading as HPC Solutions™ .
Why this rebrand was necessary
This name change launches an exciting new era for Bridget Gardner, who founded Fresh Green Clean (FGC) back in 2006 when green cleaning was in its infancy.
“We are seeing ‘green cleaning’ shift from a niche marketing term, toward doing business in a smarter, more sustainable and responsible way”.
The term ‘High Performance Cleaning’ (HPC) perfectly sums up this growing professionalism, which we define as ‘performing measurably healthier, more sustainable, ethical and hygienic cleaning practices.
But through FGC’s work, we have observed first-hand how challenging high performance cleaning can be to implement, especially when engaging a part-time workforce with high turnover rates, limited English skills, and minimal cleaning experience.
“Our clients needed solutions that guaranteed their cleaners knew how to use effective, efficient processes and deliver consistent standards, even when working unsupervised in multiple sites”.
The name ‘HPC Solutions’ reflects how we have met this challenge, by offering smarter management tools and online training solutions.
The key changes
While building on FGC’s legacy, HPC Solutions now offers a more streamlined business model. For example, instead of multiple stand-alone services, HPC Solutions has just three targeted packages, designed to help our clients:
- Train the Trainer: Deliver greater efficiency and consistency,
- Innovation: Increase worker engagement and innovation, or
- Compliance: Prevent risk and ensure compliance.
Each package comprises a step-by-step program and a combination of solutions, including: cleaning plans, manuals, training workshops and auditing tools.
Another key change is systemisation. All the solutions are structured on the same HPC Criteria Framework and CAL model (Cleaning Activity Levels), developed by Gardner.
“This structure enables us to fully customise the program’s tools and manuals for each cleaning service, by mapping their products and practices used for each cleaning task into logical workflows”.
Another innovative solution is a library of step-by-step images, which are used to create pictorial, colour-coded ‘task sheets’ in the customised cleaning manuals.
Going online
Face-to-face management training will always remain an essential component of the HPC Solutions packages, for teaching managers about the HPC aims and to facilitate decision-making.
However, in early 2020, HPC Solutions will start transitioning the cleaning manuals into an online training program. These online manuals will essentially be micro-learning systems, tailored to each organisation, and accessed by their staff via mobile devices as needed.
Embedded with diagrams, photos and videos, each customised task sheet will be linked to relevant HPC learning ‘nuggets’.
Depending on the content selected, the organisation’s online program will be used to reinforce behaviour change, induct cleaners, provide on-the-job training tools, and educate building users.
For the risk prevention and compliance package, HPC Solutions assesses the cleaning methods against the HPC Criteria, then audits their conformance and performance onsite.
Priorities for 2020
The HPC Solutions is designed for organisations that employ cleaning personnel, and need to deliver consistent methods and high standards across their portfolios.
Our top priority for 2020 is to embed and road-test the online program with some leading cleaning companies and organisations that manage in-house services.
“I am so excited about this new direction. We are already seeing how this program empowers cleaning personnel and adds value to the vital role they play in keeping people and environments healthy.”
Congratulations Bridget. Website looks exciting and vibrant with great service offerings and information.
Well done. Will call you this week and let you know where we are at.
Cheers, Argy
